Locked up in a prison cell!

Kategori: Japan

Sunday has finally arrived and it is time for another entry of course! As I mentioned earlier, I will try to put up new content every sunday, if there is enough for me to put up that is.

School was almost like normal, apart from that I had 2 tests this day... 1 test for Kanji, and one for Katakana, so I was not really hyped about this day. Also, to make things worse, it was raining almost the whole day. I managed to pass both tests (I would have been surprised if I didn´t) and for my celebration, I of course went out drinking together with Steve and Julia and company from their school. They had already arrived at the Hub in Takadanobaba, since they quit school earlier than I do. So I went home from school, dropped of my school bag and headed over to them! Not much happened this day apart from us drinking a lot of alcohol and basically just talking to other people and getting to know them better/for the first time!

The day we had all been waiting for.. The Lockup! Basically, it is a restaurant located in Shinjuku, which is remade to look like prison cells. When we arrived to the restaurant, our beloved friend Matilda got handcuffed by one of the personel and then got escorted to our "cell" that we were going to eat and drink in.

As soon as we arrived to the cell, we started ordering food and drinks for the whole company. It was me (obviously), Steve, Julia, Nate, Matilda and 3 japanese girls that Steve had met or gotten in contact which I think. I am not entirely sure as to how he met them, but they were the ones who made the reservation to the restaurant etc. Anyways! Since it was a jail cell we were eating in, of course the food and drinks were not going to be ordinary and original, instead they looked something like this.

The last picture sure looks party-ish, doesn´t it? Not much of a prison cell there. That was because someone had their birthday celebrated at the restaurant! I managed to record an overexcited Julia here.
After the birthday celebration was over, it got to the scary part instead, where several "monsters" ran into the cell and did some.. weird stuff. I guess you could always figured out they were going to make weird stuff, since basically the whole restaurant is weird itself. Luckily, I managed to get a short video of that aswell!
The restaurant visit came to an end after 2 hours, since we had paid for Tabehodai + Nomihodai, which is basically, all you can eat + drink for approx. 3500yen each for 2 hours, which is a fair deal if you ask me.
So after we had gotten escorted out of our cell by the lovely police officer who came to get us, we decided to go bowling to finish our day together! There were a lot of people at that bowling alley, so we had to wait for about 20 minutes until it was our turn, good thing they had Mario Kart at the same place to keep us entertained in the meantime!

Mario Kart warmup for 20 minutes, and now it was our turn to play bowling! Sadly, I was the worst out of all of us.. Good thing is, I was best out of everyone to land the ball into the pipe at the side! Yay me!
We were all happy afterwards anyways, so it was cool!

The winner for the night was Chika (bottom left) with 1 point more than Nate (the guy behind me), so her prize was a Marabou Milk Chocolate bar from Sweden. I would say that´s a pretty good price!
So we headed out and went separate ways because people were a bit tired, some had to go home for studies and so on, but we had done a lot that day, so I felt it was fine to split up a bit earlier than usual!

If I did not mention already in my previous entries, another Swede moved into the house at thursday (2016-01-28)! So I decided to help her out by showing her around in Shibuya and also getting her a sim-card for her phone. That is basically how my whole sunday was spent, since I slept most of it away..
The rest of the day (what´s left of it anyways) will be spent on studying japanese, since that is the reason why I am here of course!

Tune in next sunday to see what I have been up to by then!
